CONTRACT

This agreement is between (Seller) Katrina Owens, owner and breeder of "Heart of Golden" Golden Retrievers
and:
(Buyer) ________________________________ of puppy out of:___________________________

Whelped:_______/_______/_______ Male/Female Color:__________

I, the buyer, enter into this agreement with full knowledge that I assume full responsibility for the life, health,
and well being of this puppy. I understand that raising a Golden Retriever is a big responsibility that may last
for as long as 20 years.
I, the buyer, have 3 business days to take this puppy to a veterinarian and return it if it has a birth defect or life
threatening illness for a refund minus any deposit. Seller is not responsible for the vet bill. I understand that
switching brands of puppy food can result in bowel and intestinal distress. Therefore, I agree to continue
feeding Purina Puppy Chow for at least six months. Sickness resulting from switching food will not entitle me
to a refund or exchange of puppies. Any neglectful conduct, such as abuse, broken bones or injury to the puppy
beyond our home will void this contract. If I choose not to take this puppy to a veterinarian within three
business days of purchase, then this contract will be null and void.
I understand that if this puppy is returned for any reason it must be accompanied by AKC papers and medical
records. Seller is not responsible for any expense encountered to return puppy. If puppy is returned for a
medical reason, a written statement by a licensed veterinarian must be returned with puppy within the three
business days to receive a refund. Again, seller is not responsible for vet bill.
This contract does not ensure any puppy against hip, elbow, or eye diseases. We are very careful in selecting
which dogs we breed based on health, beauty and temperament. Because we cannot ensure that each buyer will
provide the right food, exercise, and environment, we cannot ensure against these type of diseases. Proper care
by the buyer is always essential for the future health of the puppy.
All deposits to hold puppies are non-refundable. All puppies must be paid for in full by age of 10 weeks.
We do not guarantee color, size, weight, coat quality, temperament, ability to show, housebreak, or reproduce.
If you wish to purchase a puppy for breeding, it must be a puppy approved by the seller. We do not encourage
irresponsible breeding and reserve the right not to sell to breeders. Because we love the breed, we will do all
possible to protect the Golden Retriever image and characteristics they are known and loved for.
The seller agrees to answer any questions regarding care, diet, and health of puppies before purchase. Seller also
agrees to be available when possible after sell to answer any health related questions as necessary. We want our
puppies to have healthy, happy, loving homes. Seller welcomes buyer to stay in contact by e-mail, including
pictures as puppy grows. WE CARE ABOUT OUR DOGS BEFORE AND AFTER THE SALE.
